On Thinking

On Thinking

Hannah Arendt quoted "Thinking... is a solitary but a lonely business; solitude is that human situation in which I keep myself company. Loneliness comes about when I am alone without...being able to keep myself company... [In thinking] I am both the one who asks and the one who answers." Many people would disagree with this statement but i agree.
I believe that thinking is a lonely thing. Everday new or old thoughts run through your mind. They can be good and help you solve a diffucult problem you are in or they can be bad and make things alot worse then they already are.
In my lifetime I have moved to 3 different school districts. I am very shy and it was hard for me to make new friends. I would usually keep to myself and do things on my own. As i got older I became a little more open but not much. My last move taught me that being shy and quiet never really helped me in life.
Now that I am older I realize that there are times when you need open up and times when you keep to yourself.
Thinking is a very lonely thing and it can affect alot of things you do, good or bad.
